More than a walk
The ‘Low Riders Club’ started with a simple idea where our founder, Jacob would go outside with Luna and he would meet someone new each time that also had a dachshund and from there he wanted to build a community where we could get everyone together all at once - and it didn't stay small for long.
What began as a weekly walk has grown into a community of dogs and their people — bringing together Charlotte locals, newcomers, small businesses, breweries, vendors, and a whole lot of low riders.
We meet every week in Southend, host larger events throughout the year, partner with local businesses, and create spaces where showing up alone doesn't mean staying that way.
Because somewhere along the way, we realized this was never really just about walking dogs.

'The ‘Low Riders Club’ was created to bring people together.
We wanted a place where people could show up with their dogs, meet someone new, support local businesses around Charlotte, and actually feel like they're part of something.
Some people come every week. Some come when they can. Some of the dogs become best friends and we're proud of what this community has become and even more excited about where it's going.
We came for the wieners, but stay for the community.
